Korkers Chrome Review

I rarely post gear reviews here, but you need to hear about these boots if you haven't already.  The new Korkers Chrome wading boots recently became available, and I've had enough wades in mine to give appropriate praise.  Check em out...

I have fished the Korkers Guide boots for a year now, and until the Chrome came along I thought these were the best boots hands down.  The Guides are still a great a boot don't get me wrong, I would even say they're the 2nd best boot on the market.  If you're on a budget and need boots you can find the Guide's on clearance.  If you want the best, get the Chrome.   Here's why...

The new Interchangeable Sole System (OmniTrax® 3.0) is what you've always wanted Korkers to do.  The soles are actually easy to change, and they cover the whole bottom of the boot... perfect! The new BOA lacing system is much faster then the old style on the Guides and it's much smoother.  The ankle support has also been beefed up, fabric feels durable, better drainage, and they still managed to put out a light weight boot!

You will love the Chrome boots for many reasons.  I love mine for how fast they get me out of my frozen waders and into my warmed up car...

Check out Korkers website, or visit a local dealer and try them yourself.

Lucas - The boots look amazing! And I must say, that after a trial run with the guides, I couldn't imagine how they could improve on such a great boot...but it seems as though they have. The new OmniTrax system is certainly one of those improvements that would benefit a serious fishermen here in WNY. I can't wait to give them a try...that is if you could part with them for a few hours?!?!

I'm in need of a new pair of boots and have been considering something from Korkers. I like the Boa lace idea and interchangeable soles is nice too. I'll have to find a money tree then check them out!

I seriously need an upgrade, and these boots are the real deal. Over the last weeks I've been secretly jealous watching you prance through frozen riffles to land steel in comfort and style while I've been keeping my frozen skunk going... Maybe if I upgrade now I'll get to do something other than net your fish.

I've had friends swear by Korkers and I thought they were cool and all...But, these boots are the best ever; there is no better boot out there. Funny how some other companies are copying Korkers designs...Must buy!

Checked out the website, and the Hyjack Water Shoe seems like an awesome wet wading and backpacking solution.

Thanks for the review.

I have had the New Chrome boots for about three weeks now. Very lite and comfortable boot. Looks like there made stronger on the stiching and they should last for a while. Had the Guide boot last year and being 250lbs and on the river at least 4 days a week they just didn't hold up well. I did love the cable system and how lite and comfortable they were.

Those look awesome man! Glad to hear they're light weight. That's huge when you have been wading all day. I love the lacing system. It would be nice to get back to the car without an inch of ice on my laces... Thanks for the review. Well done!
